It is always easier to say “Sorry my ops team blew it”, when a mistake is made, but a combination of one team and extreme ownership demands a different response. In a culture of one team and extreme ownership the right response is “we made a mistake, here is how we are going to solve it”. The goal is solving the problem, not avoiding blame.
